What’s New at RF|Binder: May 2017

Summer may be just around the corner, but RF|Binder has kept busy with multiple client campaigns, including many that either tie to the end of the school year or mark the beginning of the summer. Find out more about our favorite client initiatives of late below:


For the second year in a row, our Chief Strategy Officer and Executive Managing Director of Corporate & Brand Purpose, Scott Beaudoin, will be a judge for the Shorty Social Good Awards, an international awards show dedicated to honoring the work nonprofits, brands, agencies and government organizations are doing to make our world a better place. Earlier this month we launched Pax Ellevate’s “Invest Like a Feminist” video, which was developed to show how people can use the power of investing to promote positive change and make an impact for women. Pax Ellevate has long believed that investing in women is the right thing to do and the smart thing to do – and that “feminism” is for everyone. The video was created by The Grove and was launched with the support of an aggressive paid and earned media plan.

Over the past two months, we’ve been working to help promote the launch of a new online medical certificate program from Harvard Medical School, called HMX Fundamentals. Through influencer outreach and hits in Fast Company,  Forbes,  BostInno and more, we’ve already helped to drive more than 1,000 complete or partial applications for the $1,000 program.

The results of McGraw-Hill Education’s fourth annual Future Workforce survey were released last month, highlighting how much debt students will carry when they enter the workforce. In addition to securing a good body of media coverage, including a segment on CNBC, our Education team managed the research project from conception to completion, developing questions, uncovering major findings through our analysis, and crafting the narratives of the report and press release.

Our client Thrive Algae Oil received “Best New Product of the Year” from leading market research firm BrandSpark International and has been recognized as a breakout product and great cooking oil by TIME magazine, Departures and Vogue among others. Congratulations to our Food & Beverage team!

The most recent Schwab Live: Answers, an online live-streamed forum by Schwab’s trading specialists and and guests, was held on May 18th in San Francisco and featured two trading influencers that our Financial Services team has cultivated relationships with for the past year.  The event resulted in 5.6M earned impressions due to influencers live tweeting the panels and engaging with their audiences.
