Amy Binder is the founder and CEO of New York City-based RF|Binder Partners Inc., an integrated communications firm, with branches in Boston, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Amy started her communications career in 1983 at the storied public relations firm of Ruder Finn, founded by her father David Finn, where she rose to become President of Ruder Finn Americas. She founded her own communications firm, RF|Binder in 2001, first as an independently run agency under the Ruder Finn Group umbrella, and then as part of a 2014 restructuring, as a separate woman-owned integrated communications agency.
RF|Binder focuses on working with major global corporations and brands on corporate reputation and brand assignments as well as with entrepreneurs and start-ups. She has embraced the use of advanced analytical tools for measuring the success of social media programs and monitoring in real time client related news and events. Over the past several years she has increased the agency’s commitment to corporate social responsibility for its clients and itself. In addition to overseeing the business direction and growth of the agency, Amy is focused on ensuring that every client receives consistent, high-quality service, has continual access to the agency’s best creative and strategic thinking, as well as ensuring that the agency is offering the most innovative use of newly emerging communications channels.
Amy’s work has been characterized by creating integrated communications programs that work across communications channels from traditional to digital. She has focused on managing the issues and challenges that emerge when the interests of the public, private sector and government converge.
Under Amy’s leadership, RF|Binder has won close to 200 industry awards since the company’ founding, including Creative Agency of the Year from Holmes Report, Best Places to Work in NYC from Crains, and from PRWeek as a finalist for Best Mid-Sized Agency.
Clients have included such diverse organizations as Ameriprise, Bank of America, Booz Allen Hamilton, Cargill, Chubb, Citibank, Dunkin’ Brands, McGraw Hill Education, Rockefeller Foundation, edX, Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, Schwab and PaxWorld. Amy is a board member of The Institute for Public Relations and the Media Advisory Council for Brown University. She is a member of Columbia Business School's Family Business Program Advisory Board and has been a guest lecturer in its Family Business MBA program. She has been a recent speaker at National Association of Corporate Directors events for public company directors focused on the relationship between Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) issues and corporate strategy.
Amy received her A.B. with Honors from Brown University and her M.B.A. from the Columbia Business School.
Vice Chairman, Board Member
Joe Fisher has created and led communication campaigns for companies, organizations and individuals for more than 35 years.
As Vice Chairman of RF|Binder, he focuses on the strategic issues that clients face as they adjust to the evolving digital media environment. Most recently, he was the chief executive officer of Burson Marsteller N.A. and a member of the worldwide executive board of Young & Rubicam.
Joe began his career with an M.B.A. in marketing from Columbia University. He was a senior executive at two of the world’s largest ad agencies, Grey and Ted Bates, before opening his own agency. There, he was an early and aggressive advocate of Ed Ney’s ‘Whole Egg’ – integrating public relations with advertising to create more powerful campaigns for his clients.
With this combined experience in public relations and advertising, Joe brings an unusual perspective to clients as they balance the interests of customers, shareholders and the public. It drives his work on brand positioning, corporate reputation, public opinion, public affairs, and issues & crisis management.
Joe has worked with leading corporations, governments and non-governmental organizations here and around the world including Citigroup, Procter & Gamble, Visa, Xerox, Kraft, Legg Mason, Unilever, Qualcomm, Nabisco, Accenture, Colgate-Palmolive, Kleiner-Perkins, Google Ventures, the American Bankers Association, the Consumer Federation of America, the U.S. Department of the Treasury, and the European Union.
Prior to Columbia University, Joe earned a B.A. in Economics from Fordham University. He was a captain in the U.S. Air Force and has served on public and private boards.
Executive Managing Director, Head of Food, Drinks & Nutrition, Board Member
Atalanta Rafferty oversees strategic corporate communications programs, working extensively in the food and consumer lifestyle industries. She brings 20 years of experience working on corporate and consumer communications issues for category & market leaders, emerging companies, as well as family and founder businesses.
For the last ten years, Atalanta has worked with clients across sectors including food and food biotech, lifestyle and wellness, CPGs, wine, spirits and beverages managing integrated consumer marketing programs. Atalanta is an expert in navigating disruption having dealt with issues of sustainability, food safety, nutrition, product labeling on the one hand and retail promotions, large scale consumer events and the advent of food bloggers and social media on the other. Over the years, Atalanta has developed and executed strategic partnerships with not-for profit organizations, influences, celebrities, and organizations to support her clients’ business goals. Through these experiences Atalanta has honed an expertise in helping to launch new products & categories as well as supporting geographic expansions and brand transformations.
Atalanta also has a background in journalism and crisis communications. She received a B.A. with honors from Brown University. She is bilingual in French and English and has a basic knowledge of German.
Executive Managing Director, Head of Boston Office
Josh is an Executive Managing Director at RF|Binder. With a background in both public relations and social media, he has worked closely with both established consumer brands and innovative start-ups to develop creative communications programs, media and influencer strategies, and compelling social content to engage organizations’ key audiences and significantly increase awareness and coverage.
In his 20 years of work with top PR agencies throughout the country, Josh has created and managed national and regional marketing communications campaigns for some of the world’s most respected brands, including Dunkin’ Donuts, Planet Fitness, Zipcar, Fidelity, Microsoft, Krispy Kreme, Kayem Foods and America’s Forest & Paper Association.
Josh holds a B.A. in Journalism from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He recently served as president of the Boston Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, for which he remains a board member. He also serves on the board of directors for World Ocean School, a nonprofit helping underserved kids through educational programs aboard the historic ship Roseway.
Chief Creative Officer
David Weinstock brings more than 20 years of experience in advertising, design, marketing, digital, PR, experiential and content creation to his position as Chief Creative Officer at RF|Binder.
Prior to joining RF|Binder, he was the Executive Creative Director for MSLGROUP NY, where he founded the creative department and oversaw creative across all channels on the agency’s lead accounts. His clients included P&G brands such as Crest, Oral B, Nyquil, Febreze, Bounty, and Charmin. In 2014, David’s campaign for March of Dimes won PRWeek’s Nonprofit Campaign of the Year, Publicity Club of New England’s Silver Bell Award, In2 SABRE’s In2 Advertising Award, and Pro Awards’ Platinum Award.
Prior to the MSLGROUP, David served as VP, Creative Director at MKTG Inc. in New York, Creative Director of On-Air Marketing at The Oprah Winfrey Network, SVP, Director of Design at MRM/McCann Worldwide, and SVP, Director of Design at Campbell Mithun Minneapolis. He has received recognition from the American Institute of Graphic Arts, Ad Week, Creativity Magazine, SHOOT Magazine, Graphic Design USA, Print Magazine, Ad Age, and the Broadcast Designers Association.
As an award-winning commercial director, David created and directed broadcast, online, and in-cinema campaigns for clients including Sony, Nokia, Nike, MTV, Oppenheimer Funds, US Bank, Bayer, and TGI Fridays, to name a few. He received a Clio for a campaign he directed for Trojan Condoms. His directorial work has been highlighted in Adweek’s “Ad of The Day,” Brand Freak, and Boards Magazine.
David is a graduate of Pratt Institute in New York with a degree in Communications Design.
Chief Financial Officer, Board Member
As Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, Jason is responsible for managing RF|Binder’s global financial operations. Jason oversees financial strategy and planning, budgeting, auditing, treasury, legal functions and financial systems, as well as contributes to business planning. Jason oversees human resources, company insurance, contracts and agreements, corporate level negotiations including real estate and major supplier and clients contracts.
Prior to joining RF|Binder, Jason held positions with Cross Media Marketing, a publicly traded online & traditional direct marketing company, first performing due diligence on potential acquisitions and later responsible for the financial operations of the Print Division as Controller. At Grant Thornton, he served clients seeking to acquire other companies with Due Diligence and M&A services, and at Deloitte & Touche, he served financial, consumer, and telecom clients in an audit advisory role.
He holds an M.B.A. from Fordham Business School with a dual concentration in Finance and Media & Communications and received his B.S. in Accounting from St. John’s University and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a member of the New York Society of CPA’s and he serves as a Director on the Fordham Business School Alumni Association.
Executive Managing Director
Bill works with business leaders on communications strategies that help companies strengthen their competitive position, drive growth and protect the reputation of their brands. A former editor, journalist and senior communications executive at leading financial institutions, he has worked with investment banks, asset managers, hedge funds, private equity firms, financial technology firms, exchanges and trading platforms, and energy companies.
In 2011, he founded Bryant Park Financial Communications, winner of the PR Week’s 2015 Award for Best IR/Financial Communications Program. Bryant Park’s clients include a leading global investment, the largest electronic trading platform for corporate bonds, and the largest independent registered investment advisor in the United States.
Previously, Bill was a Senior Partner at Gavin Anderson, a global communications consultancy. He joined Gavin Anderson from Edelman, where he headed the account team that won the Public Relations Society of America’s Silver Anvil Award for investor relations counsel to a Midwest utility undergoing restructuring.
His corporate background includes serving as Managing Director of Corporate Communications at Bankers Trust and Corporate Affairs Executive for Bank of America’s Asset Management Group, with responsibility for the bank’s mutual fund, private bank, brokerage and alternative investments businesses.
A graduate of the School of Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Bill worked five years in Paris as Financial Editor of the International Herald Tribune and was previously an editor on the national news desk of The Wall Street Journal in New York. He has been a contributor to The New York Times, Directors & Boards, Global Finance magazine and TABB Forum, a website on financial markets and technology.
Wine Industry Counselor
Bruce Schneider provides strategic counsel to RF|Binder and its clients in the wine industry. As a third-generation wine industry professional with a background in grape growing, wine making, public relations, and new product development he brings a valuable perspective to regional wine promotion organizations and the wine producers they represent.
Over his 20-year career, Schneider has been a political campaign field coordinator, founder and chief executive of his own agency, the founder, winemaker and managing director of Schneider Vineyards, a 22-acre cabernet franc focused vineyard on the North Fork of Long Island, director of marketing for the Clicquot, Inc. division of LVMH USA, a wine importer, and co-founder of Gotham Project, a pioneer of wine-on-tap. He has counseled clients from every major wine producing country in the world.
Bruce has a M.B.A. from Columbia University and a B.A. in History from Washington University; he was the second investment recipient of The Eugene Lang Entrepreneurship Fund at Columbia University School of Business.
Managing Director, Head of Education
Will Maroni is a Managing Director at RF|Binder, and the leader of the firm’s Education practice. He works across a variety of corporate and institutional education accounts, focusing primarily on strategy development, editorial content creation and media relations.
In his time at RF|Binder, Will has designed research-based strategic messaging programs for clients across a variety of industries, and he has directly supported several major brand transformations within the education space. He has strong relationships with reporters at a variety of national, technology and industry-trade outlets, and he has ghost-written and placed executive editorials in such outlets as The Financial Times, The Huffington Post, U.S. News & World Report, EdSurge, Wired, The National Journal and InformationWeek, among others. In addition to media relations, his experience in corporate communications also extends to both international and internal communications.
Beyond his traditional communications experience, Will has long worked closely with both RF|Binder’s research team and its digital media team. On the research side, he has conducted and overseen extensive, in-depth analyses both of media coverage and of industrial trends within a variety of sectors. In terms of digital media, he has developed and executed award-winning online and social media strategies for a variety of corporate clients.
Executive Managing Director, Board Member
As a member of our board, Steve primarily works in the areas of strategic planning, agency expansion, new business development, client retention and legal affairs.
Steve has been a long time counselor to the Agency. He served as our outside corporate counsel from our inception in 2001 until 2014. In 2014, Steve joined RF Binder’s Board of Directors and in Fall 2016, Steve came on board full time as Executive Managing Director.
Prior to joining RF Binder, Steve spent two plus years helping to run a hedge fund, which included work in the regulatory, compliance and marketing areas of the firm. As an attorney, Steve has extensive experience in domestic and international business transactions, with a focus in the financial services area. He has served as counsel to major banks and other financial institutions.
As a law partner he chaired the Business and Technology Group for the New York office of the national law firm, Cooley LLP, and prior to that he chaired the Corporate Department and Banking and Other Financial Institutions group in the predecessor law firm, Kronish Lieb. He also helped form and lead for a number of years, Interlaw Ltd, an association of independent law firms worldwide, with 55 member firms and 110 offices during his tenure.
During his legal career, Steve, at various times, was the head of his firm’s and Interlaw’s marketing and public relations functions. Steve has been listed many times by Euromoney/Law Media Group in its “Guide to the World’s Leading Banking Lawyers.” He has a B.S. in Engineering from Cornell University, an M.B.A. from Cornell’s Johnson Graduate School of Management and a J.D. from the Cornell Law School, where he was an Editor of its Law Review.

Annie is a brand and communications strategist committed to creating purpose-led change and social impact through business. She leads RF|Binder’s Social Impact and Sustainability practice, which focuses on helping brands find their unique position on the issues transforming society today.
Through a combination of ongoing insight collection, knowledge discovery, and social storytelling, Annie and her team are devoted aligning Purpose, Sustainability and ESG strategies to help tomorrow’s brands create value and engage their primary stakeholders.
Prior to joining RF|Binder, she was the Founder and CEO of the award-winning Siren Agency, which she launched in January 2015, after three years as CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi S.
Prior to Saatchi & Saatchi S, Annie spent nine years as President of Cohn & Wolfe, San Francisco, where she launched and led the global sustainability practice.
She was honored as CSR Professional of the Year in 2016 by PR News.
Head of Corporate Media
Karina Frayter brings over a decade of experience in business journalism and television news production. Prior to joining RF|Binder, Frayter was a field producer at CNBC Business News, where she covered a broad range of topics including stock market, IPOs, economy, banking, financial technology and payments. Frayter has extensive experience producing breaking news, investigative reports and in-depth interviews with corporate executives. She produced CNBC’s long-running series “Where the Jobs Are,” and her digital documentary "The Bitcoin Uprising" was awarded an Honorable Mention by Cablefax Program Awards.
Prior to joining CNBC in 2010, Frayter was an assignment editor at CNN in New York, where she helped shape the network’s coverage of business and economic news during the height of the financial crisis. In addition, she served as a producer for the network’s leading business correspondent.
At the start of her journalism career, Frayter worked at CNN-International in London and Atlanta, as well as at News 12 Connecticut. She was awarded the Reynolds Business Journalism Week Fellowship by Donald W. Reynolds National Center for Business Journalism at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication. Frayter was also a fellow with the Council of Women World Leaders.
Frayter holds a master's degree in International Affairs from Columbia University, School of International and Public Affairs and a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Manhattanville College, where she graduated summa cum laude.
Senior Managing Director, Strategic Initiatives, Board Member
Rebecca Binder is a Senior Managing Director responsible for the development and implementation of Strategic Initiatives for the firm. She oversees strategic planning, expansion of products and services to meet emerging client needs, new business development, talent and culture development, operational efficiency, and strategic communications consulting. Over the course of her career, she has worked with Fortune 500 companies, government agencies, international organizations, non-profits, and start-ups. Most recently, Rebecca worked at Innosight, a growth strategy consulting firm, where she advised C-suite executives on developing long-term transformational growth strategies in the face of disruption. Rebecca was recently recognized as a 2019 Next Gen to Watch by Family Business Magazine for her work at RF|Binder. Rebecca received her M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and her B.A. with honors in International Relations from Brown University.
As a Managing Director, Craig is responsible for the strategic oversight and execution of integrated communication programs for Truvia Natural Sweetener, AlgaPrime DHA and Baskin-Robbins, among other accounts. Craig brings over twelve years of experience in the food industry. Throughout his career, he’s worked on established CPG brands, like Quaker, Dannon, and Unilever – and food technology start-ups like TerraVia and Perfect Day. Most recently, Craig has worked on Morton Salt, leading the brand’s CSR campaign centered around food waste.
Craig's work with clients has driven earned media coverage, influencer advocacy, compelling digital content and conversations, thought leadership and policy change for his clients. Craig’s passion is the development of brand platforms and communication strategies – using consumer research and industry trends to find a brand’s “sweet spot.” When not at work, Craig can be found with his two-year-old daughter and wife at the beach, or in upstate New York enjoying the mountains.
Kelly is a Director at RF|Binder, working on the Dunkin’ Corporate and Dunkin’ New York accounts. She focuses on national and local media relations and strategy, local media events and consumer activations, large-scale partnerships and more. Kelly brings more than seven years of marketing and communications experience working on a variety of consumer brands, including Premier Protein, PowerBar, Post Consumer Brands, DICK’s Sporting Goods, CALIA by Carrie Underwood, Courtyard by Marriott and Hasbro. She has developed and executed national and local PR and communication campaigns, created strategic media and influencer programs, targeted media outreach for business, consumer and local press opportunities, curated large scale events with top-tier celebrities, world-class athletes, nutritionists, chefs, and more. Kelly also worked closely on a variety of new product launches, teaming up with recipe developers to ideate creative recipes for new cereals, energy bars, shakes and more. Kelly graduated from the University of Rhode Island in 2011 with a degree in Communication Studies and minor in Psychology. In her free time, Kelly is spending time trying new restaurants, spending time outside and planning her next trip!
Danielle Alvarado is a Director at RF|Binder. Her background is a blend of media relations, social media and influencer marketing. She comes from a diverse background that spans the consumer and hospitality spaces thanks to clients like Dunkin', Truvia Natural Sweetener, Grand Marnier, Gerber Group and more. As a creative writer and social media maven at heart, Danielle's expertise and personal passions align perfectly with public relations and social media. These interests, coupled with her experience, lend her the ability to create and execute truly integrated and results-driven campaigns for clients across a variety of industries and platforms. Danielle was born and raised in New York, but recently relocated to the west coast to fulfill her dream of living in California.
Amy Righter is a social media professional with 3+ years of experience. Over the course of her career, she has worked with a wide variety of clients in industries such as food and beverage, technology, healthcare, and travel. Most recently, Amy worked at Kel & Partners, a Boston-based social media and public relations agency, where she developed and executed social media strategies for clients, and managed a small team to create high quality, engaging content. Prior to this, Amy spent 9 months as a Community Relations Intern at the Boston Bruins, where she contributed to all Boston Bruins special events and worked very closely with local non-profit organizations to fulfill donation requests.
Amy received her BA from the University of Rhode Island in Public Relations with a minor in Communications. In her free time, Amy enjoys trying new restaurants, spending time on Cape Cod, and visiting her family and friends.
Brynn is an Associate at RF|Binder working on the Dunkin' Boston, Dunkin' Corporate and Joy in Childhood Foundation accounts. She focuses on local media relations and executing local events and consumer activations around the Boston area. Before joining the firm in June 2018, Brynn worked as a Communication Intern for GE Corporate where she created content for employees globally, interviewed and wrote stories of interest for internal and external use, and managed internal website metrics. She also has background working with social media, learned through her time as a Social Media and Website Intern at the Career Services Department at the University of Dayton. Brynn graduated with honors from the University of Dayton in 2018 with a degree in Communication with a focus in Public Relations and a minor in Marketing. In her free time you can find Brynn exploring the city of Boston (because the east coast is very different from her home state of Wisconsin), searching for the best bowl of pasta and traveling around the world.
Brianna Feldott is a media professional, with a background in production and editorial work. She has started and worked on multiple literary magazines, and media outlets, where she developed her skills in storytelling and editing. Recently, Brianna spent 4 months at National Public Radio (NPR) as a production intern and was an executive producer at Annenberg Radio News prior. At NPR, Brianna helped produce the Moth radio hour, a national show, and refined her production, social media, and promotional skills. With a focus on environmental issues, she has worked around the world on water sustainably and clarity projects, including places like Peru, California, and the Philippines.
Brianna received her BA from the University of Southern California in Journalism and Environmental Science. After graduation, she biked across the country from Los Angeles to Cape Cod. She has a deep love for the ocean and outdoors, and often spends her free time, outside, playing music, biking and finding new adventures.
Kelly is a Director at RF|Binder where she is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day work on all Dunkin’ activity in the greater Boston area, from media relations to sports partnerships and more. She also works on the Baskin-Robbins account, planning and implementing national campaigns. Prior to joining RF|Binder, she was with Weber Shandwick's Consumer practice, where for six years she was integral to client campaigns from integrated marketing campaigns for new product launches to media tours to international activations. Her account work at WS included Ocean Spray, Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative, Staples and Ancestry, among others. Kelly’s niche is in media relations as well as project and event management. She has planned and executed award-winning campaigns for clients in the food and beverage industry, reaching audiences from consumers to media to culinary professionals to healthcare practitioners. Kelly’s strengths also fall in message and content development, as well as media/influencer relations and strategy. She secured her clients placement in outlets such as Saveur (cover story), HuffPost, MarthaStewart.com, and many others. Kelly is a graduate of Syracuse University with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and minors in sport management and psychology, and recently earned a graduate certificate degree in nutrition communications from Tufts University.
Davis MacMillan is a Managing Director at RF|Binder. In this role, he helps lead accounts across the financial services practice with a focus on strategic communications, influencer and social engagement, and overall media relations strategy.
Davis specializes in developing thought leadership campaigns, strategic plans, and written and social content on behalf of clients. Prior to joining RF|Binder, Davis worked at Dukas Linden Public Relations, where he was a Senior Account Supervisor in the Alternatives and Institutional Group. In that role, he led and supported several accounts in the asset management space, driving strategic communications and media relations efforts for a number of clients. Perhaps most relevant to SASB, he worked with Calvert Investments across media relations and other strategic initiatives, and supported ESG focused efforts for a number of other large asset managers. Prior to joining DLPR, Davis spent more than three years at the Neibart Group, a financial communications-consulting firm, in a variety of roles. He began his career as journalist for a number of business focused publications including Minyanville Media. Davis is a graduate of Vanderbilt University.
Talent Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the CEO
Anna Rooney is the Talent Coordinator and Executive Assistant to the CEO for the firm. As EA to the CEO, she is responsible for all administrative and operational activities of the office of CEO. As Talent Coordinator she works closely with the Talent Team to ensure seamless coordination of all aspects of our Employee Experience – from talent searches to onboarding to learning and development. Prior to joining RF|Binder, Anna was an Office Services Associate and managed events at global investment and advisory firm GCM Grosvenor. Previously, and following a move to New York from North Carolina in 2015, she was a freelance producer and creative assistant for writers, theater directors, filmmakers, and philanthropists. Anna Rooney received her BA in Music from St. Cloud State University, studied Performing Arts Management at University of North Carolina School of the Arts. She earned her MA in New Media and Global Education from Appalachian State University. In 2010, she founded Peppercorn Theater, a non-profit organization developing original plays and musicals for young audiences in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Krysta Hartono is a Graphic Designer for the Grove, RF|Binder’s creative team. She works directly with the Chief Creative Officer, David Weinstock, and since joining in 2016, Krysta has expanded the Grove’s digital services by supporting clients through website design, interactive digital advertisements, email campaigns, and social media content. Krysta has been designing and developing projects from concept to completion for clients such as Dunkin’, Baskin-Robbins, MarketAxess, Pax World, Wines of Germany, Thrive, AlgaPrime, etc. Krysta also collaborates with the Experiential team to execute events by creating an integrated branded experience for clients like Tupperware, Grounded, Joy in Childhood Foundation and MarketAxess. Prior to RF|Binder, Krysta brought her experiences from working with Blue Flame Agency in New York where she helped launch campaigns for brands like CÎROC vodka and DeLeón Tequila; CarrotNY where she visualized a health and nutritional guide for students in the New York area under USDA regulations; and Gushcloud in San Francisco where she helped grow a Singaporean startup. She received her BFA with honors in Communications Design from Pratt Institute.
Jean Salazar is a Staff Accountant at RF|Binder, working across all accounts to support billing, collections, payables, client reporting and month end closings. During his collegiate career, Jean spent 4 months as an accounting intern at Mario Treglia CPA, where he developed his analytical and problem-solving skills. He also worked as a payroll associate at Queens Library, assisting the department with their quarterly audits and payroll functions. Jean has worked as a voluntary tax preparer for low-income families in the New York City area. He spends his free time occasionally looking into the foreign exchange market, playing soccer with friends, and reading up on his latest book. Jean received his BS in Accounting from St. John’s University.
Sofi Biviano is an Associate Director at RF|Binder where she works with clients in the food, drinks and nutrition space. Before her time at RF|Binder, Sofi worked across a variety of consumer health, food and home brands, including Weight Watchers, Pier 1, Sur La Table, 3M Command and Scotch Painter’s Tape. She brings with her an expertise in maintaining media and influencer relationships, along with a passion for executing CSR campaigns. Sofi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Advertising & Public Relations from the City College of New York.
Julia is an Associate at RF|Binder working across both consumer and corporate accounts. Previously, as an intern at RF|Binder she was responsible for compiling and updating media lists and monitoring media trends, securing coverage for her clients McGraw Hill and Corporate Insight. She has also been involved with marketing for a music publisher and writing editorial for the Colgate University Communications Office, as well as her on-campus position as the Executive Editor for the her school’s weekly newspaper, The Colgate Maroon-News. Julia graduated with honors from Colgate University in 2019 with a degree in Political Science and Spanish. In her spare time, she enjoys trying new restaurants around New York City, hiking, curating the perfect playlist and spending time with friends, family and her dog.
Kiki Van Son
Director of Digital Strategy
Kiki Van Son is Director of Digital Strategy and part of RF|Binder Insight Planning and Analytics team working across all accounts to create integrated paid media programming. Previously, she worked at McCann New York, where she was dedicated to bringing social and digital to the forefront of the brand planning process as a creative strategist, analyst, and media-planning hybrid. While at McCann, Kiki worked extensively on Mastercard, earning recognition for co-branded work with JetBlue and SZA / the Grammys, including a Webby Award and Campaign Magazine's inaugural "Purpose Award" in 2018, respectively. Kiki's proudest accomplishment, however, was the recently publicized "Acceptance Street" installation in New York City during World Pride, highlighting Mastercard'snew True Name Card. In addition to Mastercard, she worked Verizon, L'Oréal, and State Street Global Advisors. Kiki believes in the power of social and digital to share untold stories, shape culture, and create business value. Kiki has a bachelor’s degree from New York University, where she studied journalism, philosophy, and Spanish. She is currently pursuing an MS in Impact-Driven Business and Investment at Glasgow Caledonian New York College.
Stephen is a Senior Director at RF|Binder working on Food, Beverage, and Nutrition. He has over a decade of experience developing and implementing strategic communications programs for a variety of consumer-lifestyle brands and trade institutions, particularly those in the wine & spirits space. He takes a holistic approach to the brands and institutions he works with, leveraging and maximizing earned media to enhance each's overall communications strategy and goals. Over the years, Stephen has worked with a number of prominent clients, including Wines From Spain, the Portuguese Cork Association, the California Wine Institute, Prosecco DOC, Colavita Olive Oil, Fireball Whisky, Disaronno, and more. A New Orleans native, he holds a B.S. in Marketing from Louisiana State University. Having grown up in Sevilla and on the adjacent Sherry-producing beaches of southern Spain, Stephen also speaks fluent Spanish and has a deep passion for the intersection of food & wine and the cultures they nourish.
Taylor is an Associate at RF|Binder supporting the Grove and Consumer accounts. Taylor is very passionate about building meaningful relationships for clients in creative, authentic ways. Previously, she served as Executive Assistant to the CEO & President of Influenster, managing their personal and professional lives, while acting as a bridge between upper management and employees. In 2017, Taylor was a PR intern at Sesame Workshop, answering fan mail, tracking media coverage, and building contact and media figure lists to support key initiatives. Taylor graduated from Seton Hall University ‘18 with a degree in Public Relations where she served as the PR Chair for the Black Student Union and was an active member of the student-run PR firm, Litore Agency, serving on and off-campus clients. In her spare time, Taylor studies astrology, loves to cook, and has a guilty pleasure for binge-watching Netflix series.
Head of Consumer Media
Jim is the Head of Consumer Media at RF|Binder where he works across all consumer accounts helping clients achieve impactful earned media results. Over the past 14 years, Jim has forged a diverse career in both consumer and corporate communications. Notably, Jim has led award-winning consumer media campaigns on both a regional and national level, and works closely with clients to achieve their communications goals. On the corporate front, Jim has deep experience supporting clients across key initiatives that impact their business, including strategic program development, CEO positioning crisis communications and issues management. Prior to RF|Binder, Jim spent 10 years at ABC News.
Emily Goldberg is a Production Manager at RF|Binder. She has more than seven years of experience in account management and production. She has produced over 100 various types of events in her career within the technology, fashion, finance, entertainment, food, and non-profit sectors. Such event types include product launches, marketing campaigns, conferences, concerts, and more. Emily has led and managed projects that have won four Event Marketer Ex Awards, a BizBash Event Style Award, and set a Guinness World Record. Emily's passion and expertise focuses on experiential activations, and she continues to connect consumers to brands in unforgettable ways.
Nick is an Associate at RF|Binder working on consumer accounts. He previously worked in customer service and management roles, preparing him for client-facing and collaborative undertakings. Nick graduated with honors from Fordham University where he majored in English Literature with minors in Philosophy and Communications & Culture. At Fordham, Nick had critical and creative works published in multiple on-campus journals. Before Fordham, Nick hosted an independent college radio show. He is a lifelong New Yorker who loves exploring and learning more about the city where he was raised, as well as contemplating the cultural and societal structures that affect local and global communities.
Jillian Watts is a Senior Director at RF|Binder, where she brings nearly a decade of public relations experience specializing in the consumer and hospitality industry. With an innate ability for creative problem-solving, Jillian is a results-driven communicator and expert in media relations, influencer marketing, consumer activations and strategy development. She has developed and executed integrated PR campaigns for brands including Glendalough Distillery, Phillips Chocolates, HP Hood, and Ciao Bella Gelato, as well as launching over 20 restaurants and hotels. With an eye for trends, a passion for pop culture, and an unwavering knowledge of the F&B space, Jillian thrives in today’s 24/7 media landscape.
