Bank of America

RF|Binder was retained by Bank of America to develop a comprehensive event and communications program that would leverage its position as the primary sponsor of Democracy Plaza. Conceived by NBC Universal, Democracy Plaza (Rockefeller Center, New York City) was an exhibition of historical artifacts, photo and video displays and themed elements speaking to America’s political history and the country's tradition of democracy.

With a deadline of only two weeks, RF|Binder created a series of activities and performances that celebrated our country’s foundation in citizenship and democracy while communicating why Bank of America was involved in Democracy Plaza. Some of the initiatives included the initial announcement and opening day ceremony, democracy and citizenship media tour with Lenny Krayzelburg, a three-time U.S. Olympic Gold medallist who emigrated from Russia and became a naturalized citizen of the United States in 1995. Krayzelburg served as a spokesperson on behalf of Bank of America to discuss the importance of democracy and citizenship, and led a citizen swearing-in ceremony.
